Pastor Dr. Takicey M. Dunston

Pastor Takicey M. Dunston, Ed.D., is a native of Wilson County, North Carolina, where she was born and raised as the eldest of three children. She is a proud graduate of the Wilson County Public School System and has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to academic excellence and professional growth.

Dr. Dunston holds degrees in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, School Administration, Divinity, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Her academic studies were completed at Wilson Community College, Shaw University, North Carolina Central University, Campbell University, and East Carolina University. Her extensive educational background reflects her dedication to both intellectual development and servant leadership.

Professionally, Dr. Dunston serves as the principal of Benson Elementary School, where she leads with vision, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to student achievement and staff development. She has also served as an adjunct chaplain at UNC Nash General Hospital, further demonstrating her commitment to ministry beyond the church walls.

Dr. Dunston has been married to Deacon Gregory Dunston since 1992. Together, they are the proud parents of two daughters, Tasha and Nakierra, and one son, Gregory Rishon. They are also blessed with three grandchildren and maintain a loving family environment that includes their cherished pets: Boaz, Tyson, Omar, and Zek.

With over two decades of faithful service in ministry, Dr. Dunston is deeply committed to the work of the Lord. Her leadership is marked by a passion for teaching, discipleship, and the spiritual empowerment of others. She approaches ministry with humility, strength, and a profound sense of purpose.

Dr. Dunston’s life is also a testament to perseverance and faith. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, she embodies resilience and unwavering trust in God. Her personal testimony serves as a source of inspiration to many, as she continues to point others to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

In all aspects of her life and ministry, Pastor Dr. Dunston remains committed to advancing the Kingdom of God, equipping believers, and leading others into a deeper, more transformative relationship with Christ.
