Pastor Dr. Takicey M. Sellars Dunston

Pastor Takicey was born on September 9th in Wilson County, N.C.  She is the oldest of three children.  She was educated in the Wilson County Public School System and has degrees in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, School Administration, Divinity, and a Doctorate in Education Leadership.  She has always been passionate about learning and has studied at Wilson Community College, Shaw University, North Carolina Central University, Campbell University, and East Carolina University.  She is Benson Elementary School’s principal and is a former adjunct chaplain at UNC Nash General Hospital.

She is married to Deacon Gregory Dunston (1992), and they have two daughters, Tasha and Nakierra, and a son, Gregory Rishon.  They are the grandparents of three amazing grandchildren and the pet parents of Boaz, Tyson, Omar, and Zek.

Dr. Dunston has been in ministry for over twenty years and loves the Lord wholeheartedly. She is equally dedicated to serving others and seeing them empowered through faith. She is no stranger to the battles of life—this two-time breast cancer survivor is determined to fight to the finish and to obtain her crown of righteousness. As she points souls to Calvary through that crimson flow, she, too, stays covered by the blood!
